Low Cost Carrier easyJet has announced a major expansion of its operations from Glasgow Airport as part of its summer 2024 flying schedule.
The extension sees the airline expand the number of routes on offer, as well as bringing two new destinations to their network. A number of current routes will see an increase in flights next year as well.
New flights to Enfidha in Tunisia will be available throughout the year and will commence on May 2nd 2024 operating on Thursday and Sundays.
Flights to Larnaca in Cyprus will be available between May 4th and October and will operate on Tuesdays and Saturdays.
In a press release from November 7th, Ali Gayward, the UK Country Manager at easyJet said the following “We are delighted to be launching two new routes and holidays from Glasgow to Tunisia’s beach town Enfidha and Cyprus’ port city Larnaca, and taking our network from strength to strength so that we can provide even more great-value choice for our customers in Scotland when booking their next summer holiday.”
Christopher Tibbett, Head of Airline Relations and Marketing for Glasgow Airport, issued the following statement as part of the airport press release: “The introduction of easyJet services to the beautiful Cypriot resort of Larnaca and Enfidha, a gateway to Tunisia’s Sousse and Hammamet resorts, is fantastic news.
“Both destinations are incredibly popular with sunseekers and sightseers alike and these new services will deliver even greater choice and flexibility for our customers.”

Shortly after this story was first announced the airline made a number of other changes to their Summer 2024 flying schedule in Scotland, this included a number of passenger favourite routes returning to the easyJet route map.
From June 26th passengers will be able to jet off to the French city of Marseille, with flights operating on Wednesday and Saturdays until August 31st. At the time of writing this is the only direct service from Scotland to Marseille on sale.
Also re-joining the network is the costal city of Pula, Croatia, with holidaymakers able to jet off twice a week from June 24th. Flights will operate on Monday and Friday until August 30th. At the time of writing this is the only direct service from Scotland to Pula on sale.
The expansion did not stop there, as easyJet also announced a number of frequency increases and season extensions to some of their most popular destinations, we have a full list below.
- Flights to Belfast City have increased from 3 per week to 7 per week.
- Berlin has increased from 3 per week to 4 per week.
- Bordeaux will return to pre-covid levels of frequency with the addition of a 3rd weekly flight on Wednesdays (these flights only operate from June 24th until August 30th).
- Flights to Malaga now operate daily thanks to the addition of a Wednesday flight.
- The Moroccan city of Agadir will now see easyJet flights every Tuesday in April.
- Geneva will now see service on the first 2 weekends in April.
- Hurghada will continue to operate during the summer with 2 weekly flights on Monday and Fridays.

This expansion cements easyJet’s position as the largest airline at Glasgow Airport in terms of seats available. To support this growth easyJet will add a 6th based aircraft at Glasgow Airport, supporting both direct jobs with easyJet, and also for Swissport and Glasgow Airport retailers and security teams.
easyJet is the latest in a line of airlines to announce an expanded flying schedule from the city, with Jet2 and TUI also adding additional capacity next summer.
