Ryanair has unveiled its largest flying schedule from Glasgow Airport since 2018, with the airline annoucning the resumption of two routes from the city, with an exclusive route for the airline which also brings another new dot to the destination map next summer.

The airline, which closed its base at Scotlands second busiest airport in 2018, has placed flights to Warsaw Modlin and London Stansted on sale for Summer 2026, but has removed its Charleroi route from sale following poorer than expected performance in Summer 2025.

Flights to the Polish Capital will commence on March 29th and operate every Friday and Sunday throughout the summer, with flights being operated by Ryanair’s Boeing 737-800 with 189 seats.

  • FR1693 will depart Warsaw at 1055 arriving into Glasgow at 1250 every Friday
  • FR1692 will depart Glasgow at 1315 arriving into Warsaw at 1655 every Friday

  • FR1693 will depart Warsaw at 0625 arriving into Glasgow at 0820 every Sunday
  • FR1692 will depart Glasgow at 0845 arriving into Warsaw at 1225 every Sunday

Based on current schedules this route will see 120 movements (60 round trips) and will have 22,680 seats available.

This is the first time Ryanair will serve Warsaw from Glasgow since they ended their service in 2023 following a dispute with Modlin airport over expansion and charges.

Ryanair UK Makes It’s First Glasgow Appearance

Ryanair UK (RK), will make its first scheduled appearance in Glasgow since it was launched thanks to the airlines decision to launch a twice daily service to London Stansted, also commencing March 29th.

  • RK175 will depart Stansted at 0645 arriving into Glasgow at 0820 every day
  • RK174 will depart Glasgow at 0845 arriving into Stansted at 1015 every day

  • RK330 will depart Stansted at 1945 arriving into Glasgow at 2120 every day
  • RK329 will depart Glasgow at 2145 arriving into Stansted at 2315 every day

This will be the first time Ryanair UK has operated scheduled flights into Glasgow Airport, and also marks the first time Ryanair will serve this route since October 2018.

Industry Comments

Speaking on the launch of these two new routes, Chris Tibbett, Aero Director at AGS Airports said:

“This new flight to London Stansted further strengthens the airport’s vast choice of options from Glasgow to five London airports.

“The double daily schedule will appeal to business travellers commuting between England’s innovation corridor and Scotland’s dynamic economic powerhouse, whilst we look forward to welcoming holidaymakers from the East of England keen to sample Glasgow’s warm hospitality and the great outdoors of West Scotland.

“In addition, the introduction of a brand-new route to Warsaw expands our international connectivity, giving passengers even more choice for leisure and business travel.”

Ryanair did issue a press release today (December 11) highlighting these new routes, but unusually nobody from Ryanair is quoted in this release, there is also something I do wish to challenge though.

RYANAIR ANNOUNCES RECORD SCHEDULE AT GLASGOW FOR S26 2 NEW ROUTES, 600K SEATS, 50% GROWTH

The airline claims this to be a “record shcedule”, despite only operating to 8 destinations in 2026, compared to 23 when the airline had aircraft based in 2018, even by weekly flights and seats this does not appear to be strictly accurate either, as the airline operated at least 20 of its former routes at a frequency of 2x weekly.

Overview of Ryanair Movements and Seats

Compared to last year the Ryanair Group of airlines will increase its weekly number of movements by 40.54%, with seats increasing by 39.9%.

The group will operate 51 weekly departures from Glasgow Airport next summer, with 8 routes across 5 countries.
