2020

January 2020 – The first Instagram post under the GeorgeNugentTravels brand is uploaded. It covered a 1st Class journey with ScotRail between Glasgow and Edinburgh.

February 2020 – Most liked Instagram post is uploaded receiving 183 likes.

March 2020 – Covid lockdown introduced in Scotland impacts on future growth plan. Focus shifts to posts about journeys that had already been completed.

December 2020 – The final month of 2020 allowed the introduction of a new logo to better reflect the brand.

2021

January 2021 – The georgentravels.com website was launched with a post titled “Introducing Myself”

June 2021 – The most viewed post to date was released titled “LNER – Let’s Never Ever Repeat”

August 2021 – The first analysis post was published titled “Glasgow Airports Plummeting Success” (this was the most viewed post of 2021)

September 2021 – The first International trip since the outbreak of Covid-19 took place to Prague.

December 2021 – By the end of 2021 georgentravels.com had gathered 758 views. The top five countries for views are shown below.

2022

February 2022 – The first comparison style post was released comparing British Airways and easyjet was published.

March 2022 – 10th European country visited (France)

April 2022 – Aged 20 I take myself on a solo trip across America visiting 10 states in 10 days.

April 2022 – First city guide published highlighting important information for visiting Paris.

October 2022 – Given the cost of living crisis my saving money guides series was resumed, specifically helping students save money.

November 2022 – The first edition of the GeorgeNugentTravels brand magazine is published, this can be viewed here.

Year End 2022 – 2,198 views to georgentravels.com have been recorded in 2022, an increase of 190% on 2021.

2023

January 2023 – We published our transparency and environmental policies that we will be following moving forward. Our target for this year is to grow international readership by 10%

June 2023 – I go on another solo trip just after turning 22. This trip involved solo travelling to Iceland, Toronto, Calgary and Kelowna in Canada.

July 2023 – We temporarily pause or brand magazine due to other commitments at the time.

August 2023 – Our luck runs out and we suffer our first cancelled trip, annoyingly to Bulgaria. This was caused by the NATS failure in the UK. We are currently working to reschedule this trip.

September 2023 – We pass our total readership for 2022 on September 10th – one day later than expected.
