Jet2 this week placed its sun flights for Summer 2028 on sale from their two Scottish bases, with package holidays and flight only booking options available.
The airline currently has 15 aircraft based in Scotland, with Edinburgh being the largest base by destinations served (37 in total in summer 2028), and Glasgow being the largest by number of aircraft based, with 8 currently calling Scotland’s largest city home.
A full overview of the “Sun” network from both bases is outlined below, with breakdowns of frequencies and routes exclusive to each airport also provided.
Edinburgh Airport Network
Jet2 currently plans to serve 37 destinations from Edinburgh Airport next summer spread across 9 countries.
Jet2 will have 7 routes on the Scottish network exclusively served from Edinburgh Airport, these are;
- Pula – 1 weekly flight (exclusive to Jet2 at Edinburgh Airport)
- Split – 1 weekly flight (exclusive to Jet2 at Edinburgh Airport)
- Chania – 1 weekly flight (exclusive to Jet2 at Edinburgh Airport)
- Preveza – 1 weekly flight (exclusive to Jet2 and Edinburgh Airport)
- Santorini – 1 weekly flight (exclusive to Jet2 and Edinburgh Airport)
- Skiathos – 1 weekly flight (exclusive to Jet2 and Edinburgh Airport)
- Thessaloniki – 1 weekly flight (exclusive to Jet2 and Edinburgh Airport)
In addition to these routes, Jet2 will also serve the following routes from Edinburgh Airport in Summer 2028
- Ibiza – 3 weekly flights (2 in October)
- Palma – 10 weekly flights
- Menorca – Up to 2 weekly flights (Jet2 is the only airline operating this route from Edinburgh)

Jet2 currently plans to serve 33 destinations from Glasgow Airport next summer spread across 11 countries.
Jet2 will have 3 routes on their Scottish network served exclusively from Glasgow Airport, these are;

- Hurghada – 1 weekly flight
- Izmir – 1 weekly flight
In addition to these routes, Jet2 will also serve the following routes from Glasgow Airport in Summer 2028;

Jet2 will operate up to 111 weekly flights from Glasgow in summer 2028, making Glasgow Airport the airlines 9th largest base by destinations and 8th largest base by weekly departures.
It is interesting to see that despite having more weekly departures in Glasgow, Jet2 operates a smaller number of destinations compared to Edinburgh, instead focusing on frequency density from Glasgow and destination range from Edinburgh. Jet2 operates an average of 3.36 weekly flights to each destination from Glasgow, compared to just 2.62 weekly frequencies per destination at Edinburgh.
