Jet2.com and Jet2 CityBreaks released their Winter 2027/2028 City and Christmas Market flights from Edinburgh and Glasgow, with 11 routes to 8 European cities.
A number of routes will operate from both bases, but as has been the case in previous years, a number of exclusive routes will operate from both bases, with some being the only direct link from Scotland.
Full information on season lengths and days of operation is outlined below, ordered by base.
Edinburgh and Glasgow Routes
Both of Jet2’s Scottish bases will see flights to Rome, Prague and Vienna at some point throughout the winter season, full details on operating seasons and days of operation can be found below.
Rome Fiumicino
Jet2 will operate 2 weekly departures from Edinburgh to Rome Fiumicino, with flights operating Monday and Friday, although the airline will not operate this route in December and January.
From Glasgow, Jet2 will also operate 2 weekly departures, albeit Thursday and Sunday, and unlike Edinburgh flights will operate throughout the winter period.
Prague
Jet2 will operate 2 weekly departures from Edinburgh to Prague, with Thursday and Sunday departures, however, similar to Rome the airline will not operate flights in January on this route.
Glasgow also sees 2 weekly departures to Prague with flights operating Monday and Friday. Jet2 will operate flights throughout the winter season including January.
Vienna
Flights from Edinburgh to Vienna will operate twice weekly between November 11th and January 2nd, with flights departing Thursday and Sunday.
For Glasgow passengers, flights will also operate twice weekly from November 25th to December 19th, with flights departing Thursday and Sunday, albeit on a shorter season than Edinburgh.
Edinburgh Exclusives
Edinburgh Airport will be host to two exclusive Chrismas Market routes, not only with Jet2, but from Scotland with no other rotues available at the time of writing to these destinations.
Strasbourg
Flights from Edinburgh to Strasbourg will operate twice weekly between November 26th and December 20th, with departures on Monday and Friday. This is the only direct service from Scotland to Strasbourg as of the time of writing.
Tallinn
Flights to Tallinn will operate every Thursday and Sunday between November 18th and December 19th. This route is the only direct link from Scotland to Estonia.
Glasgow Exclusives
Jet2 will operate 3 routes on their Scotland network exclusively from Glasgow Airport next winter, with 2 being exclusive to the airline in the winter season.
Berlin
Jet2 will operate 2 weekly flights from Glasgow to Berlin between November 25th and December 19th, with departures on Thursday and Sunday – note this is different from this winter where the airline operates Monday and Friday flights. Berlin is an exclusive route to Jet2 during the winter season from Glasgow.
Budapest
Jet2 will operate 2 weekly flights on Monday and Friday between November 19th and December 20th. Jet2 is the only airline offering service to Budapest from Glasgow.
Krakow
Jet2 will operate 2 weekly flights on Monday and Friday throughout the winter season from Glasgow.

Speaking on the release of these flights, Steve Heapy, CEO of Jet2, noted that Christmas market holidays remain a “firm favourite” for travellers.
