Eurowings has today (October 14th) added two new Christmas Market routes to its network, with the airline launching limited time flights from Edinburgh to Berlin and Hamburg.
The airline already operate flights from Edinburgh to Cologne, Dusseldorf and Stuttgart, as well as a summer seasonal route from Glasgow to Hannover. These two new routes announced today are currently only scheduled to operate in December 2026 – although a couple of flights will operate at the start of January to facilitate post New Years travel.
Berlin
Flights to the German capital will operate every Friday from December 4th until January 1st, with Sunday departures operating December 6th and 13th, and Monday departures on December 21st, 28th and January 4th.
Flight times vary depending on when in Decemeber the flights are operating so it is better to check the Eurowings website or app for the most up to date timings.
This route faces competition from Ryanair who operate up to 5 weekly flights from Edinburgh, easyJet who operate up to 7 weekly flights from Edinburgh and Jet2 who operate 2 weekly flights from Glasgow.
Hamburg
Flights to Hamburg will commence on December 4th operating every Friday until January 1st. Sunday flights will operate December 6th and 13th, with Saturday flights operating December 19th and January 1st.
Flight times vary depending on when in Decemeber the flights are operating so it is better to check the Eurowings website or app for the most up to date timings.
Eurowings is the only airline offering this route during December, with easyJet returing flights to this route in March 2027 for the 4th time.
These two routes are not currently available for booking during Summer 2027, however Eurowings has not finalised its schedules for next summer, and may base any decisions on extending these routes on performance over the Christmas period.
